On June 10th, Pleasant View hosted the 7th annual Take a Swing For Autism golf outing. The event enjoyed beautiful weather and had a great participation! Teams battled it out early Saturday morning with an 8 o’clock shotgun. Winning this scramble was the team consisting of Tom Dominic, Jim Gresh, Mike Rosta, and John Kufleitiner (Pictured) with a score of 55, 16 stokes under par. Coming in close to the 1st place team, was a two-tie at 15 under. These two teams consisted of Eric Glista, Bill Wilson, Chris Haidet, Jim Monnot and Jim Armeni Jr., Kyle Hiscox, Bryan Brownfield, Greg Reed. Special mentions in this event go to Homer Sturgeon striking a Hole-in-One on the par 3 number 2. Homer aced the hole with his 8 iron from 140 yards. This has been Homer’s 4th Hole-in-One. Also qualifying for the chance for $1 Million was Buddy Grim. Buddy had his chance for the large prize after being the closest to the pin on 17. To win the Million, Buddy had to make a Hole-in-One on the same hole he was closest to. Unfortunately, he sailed his ball over the green during his attempt. We would like to congratulate all winners and thank all the participants for supporting a great cause.
